At Owl Orthodontics it is our number one priority to provide your child with a healthy and beautiful smile that they can be proud of. Dr. Wright along with his team know that sometimes traditional metal braces can cause some self-esteem issues with teens, which is why we are proud to be able to provide Invisalign Teen. If you are in the Amherst, Clarence, Williamsville, Grand Island, Lancaster-Depew or Buffalo area and interesting in learning more about Invisalign we encourage you to contact one of our conveniently located offices.

Although any form of orthodontic treatment has benefits, we find that Invisalign Teen has a special level of appeal to our adolescent patients. With Invisalign Teen our adolescent patients do not have to worry about wires, brackets or rubber bands! Invisalign Teen uses a system of clear aligners to straighten their smile over a given treatment time. Many patients also find this form of treatment ideal because they are easily removable for eating, brushing and flossing teeth.

At this point you may be wondering what makes Invisalign Teen different from Invisalign that is built for adults. The Invisalign Teen system uses a blue-to-clear color changer on the aligners to signify when your teen is ready to move to their next set of aligners. Invisalign Teen is also built to accommodate growing mouths to better treat your ever- growing teenagers!

What Is Invisalign Teen & How Does It Work?

Invisalign teen is a way that Dr. Wright can straighten your child’s teeth with using clear, removable and custom-made aligners. For those patients that are candidates for Invisalign Teen, this is how the system works:

  • Wear each set of aligners for about two weeks.
  • Remove only to eat, drink, brush and floss.
  • Your teeth will move gradually each week.
  • Visit us every 8-10 weeks.
  • Total treatment time averages 6-15 months.
  • Average number of aligners is between 18 and 30.
