Cepalometric or Head X-ray

 At your first visit or consultation you will be greeted by one of our treatment coordinators. She will get you ready to meet Dr. Douglas Wright.  That means taking any necessary diagnostic x-rays along with facial and oral digital images, reviewing your health history, and generally discussing braces and our office.  Dr. Wright will then review your photos and x-rays. He will examine your teeth with a mouth mirror and advise you of any possible problems, the necessary corrective treatment options and give you an estimated cost of the treatment. Most often, your dental insurance benefits have been verified prior to your consultation appointment.

Patients can expect an easy and  relaxed appointment.

We accept most insurance plans and in most cases our finance department will have verified your insurance benefits.

Most of the time, one of five situations exist. They are:

  1. The patient needs treatment now.

  2. Treatment is needed, but we will wait for more permanent teeth to erupt.

  3. The patient is too young to make a diagnosis.

  4. No treatment is needed.

  5. A preventative program of some type needs to be started.
